The Fight for Reasonable Gun Control in Canada

Living in the rural community that I do, I don’t have as much opportunity to get involved in the fight against the poor excuse for gun control that has been thrust upon us by our Government.  This blog will hopefully help to shed some light on how ridiculous some of our laws are and maybe even help to convince you to join the fight.

Thanks for visiting.

    how ridiculous is this:

us TRAINED SOLDIERS are not even allowed to carry pistols in this country. I’m not considered ‘qualified’, even though I am qualified (meaning trained on and experienced with):

    C7 Assault Rifle 5.56mm
    C9 Light Machine Gun 5.56mm
    C6 General Machine Gun 7.62mm
Carl Gustav 84mm Recoiless Rifle (basically a rocket launcher)
    C13 Fragmentation Grenades
    Various other weapons….

but I’m not allowed to carry a pistol….

    • J says:

considering you are talking about carrying a pistol, I would also like to add that WE are trained with the Browning Hi-Power as well as transitioning to the SIG P226

    • Sam Spade says:

The government wants to keep Canadians unarmed. It’s called population control.

    • Iluvcheese says:

CANADIAN TRAINED SOLDIERS are not allowed either, don’t pull the us card. It’s how our laws work, and I don’t agree with them, but just because you think you’re competent doesn’t put you above the law. There are MANY people who there would be no problem with if they carried a pistol in public. It’s that small percentage of son of a b**ches that make the laws necessary.

      • Cory lystang says:

That small percentage has guns any way. Wake up and realize criminals don’t care about laws, Gun control only affects law abiding citizens

  3. Jack says:

Don’t you think if everyone had guns or handguns at that, people would be just a little bit more careful and may reconsider committing crimes in the first place. You wouldn’t go to a restaurant with intentions to shoot everyone if you knew that everyone inside was armed. Counter intuitively I think It would make the world safer(given a stable government).

  4. kyrejto says:

As a fellow soldier, I completely agree with Sam! You’re going to cut our funding which means less range time to be proficient with weapons systems, then tell me I can’t own one to practice on my own!
If you want to limit deaths, you might as well limit births because SID’s exists too, guns don’t kill people, people kill people

  5. kyle says:

well how can we start something to get this changed so we can get carry permits in canada ?

  6. Terrance says:

The right to defend one’s life or the life of those in your immediate care from an immediate life threating situation is an absolute right. For our government to tell you otherwise is in it self a crime, perpetrated on the Canadian people for years, only the elite of Canada that being the politician’s and law enforcement afford this right to protect there lives and the lives of their family. So why should they care about us the people since all remains the same, the enormous taxes keep flowing in as to facilitate the status quo for the Politian’s and bureaucrats who deny us our most basic rights while they spin a national lie of safety and security all the while sedating the people with hand outs and a promise of a socialist paradise where we are victims of the criminal and then victims of the judicial system if we dare exercise our right of self defense using a firearm as to preserve our life or the life of someone in our care. I tell you the truth I assure you that our rights are not to be bagged for as a dog bags for scrapes from the masters table, rather rights are to be taken and that is the simple truth. It is our just right I say; it is an unalienable right, I hold these truths to be self evident that all people are created equal and endowed with certain unalienable rights and among these are the Right to Life, Liberty, and the Security of Person and Property. From the New Canadian Republic.
